Annotation This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the issue of child adaptation into the kindergarten environment, particularly children four years old and younger. Special attention is given to games and activities that strengthen the relationship of the child with the teacher or the other kids and strengthen the security of the child in his new environment. In the theoretical part, the student will focus on the preschool-aged child's socialization and the aspects related to his transition from a family environment into the wider environment of a kindergarten school. The main objective of the study, which is part of the thesis, is to find out about the adaptation process with three to four-year-old children entering kindergarten and what factors influence this process. The practical part of the thesis presents three case studies of children between the ages of three and four, who start going to the kindergarten for their first time, focusing on adaptation in the kindergarten. The survey was conducted by a combination of interviews with parents, the child, the principal of the kindergarten school and by observing the child directly in the kindergarten.
