In the following chapters the history of school assessment and final report cards in the Czech Republic as well as contemporary final evaluation requirements in the Czech Republic are recapitulated. Attention is also paid on parents´ attitudes towards school assessment and research findings about this topic. The practical part of the thesis includes description and analysis of school report cards for summative assessment that were collected and chosen for the research questionnaire needs. The following text contains results of quantitative-qualitative research that was made by the questionnaire method. Target respondents for the questionnaire were mainly parents of elementary school pupils and teachers. The aim of the research was to find out public opinions on current form of the school report cards for summative assessment in the Czech Republic and also to find out which form of the school report cards for summative assessment would be preferred (from the offered foreign report cards) in case of choice opportunity. |
