Annotation	The thesis is focused on reading adolescents. It is a practically oriented work, where will be introduced the issue of teenagers' readership. First of all the authoe deals with period of developing pubescents and later she outlines the problems that are associated with this period and an interest in reading. There are involed the findings of professionals, who deal with this subject and at the same time work is supported by a questionnaire survey, which was filled in by pupils of two schools. The questionnaire shows which role the school plays in the selection of books for young readers. In the following chapters the author mentions projects and organizations that try to increase reading among pupils of Czech schools. There are also underlined the most popular books of the respondents of the questionnaire and introduced their authors. The last chapter then shows how Czech readers stand in comparison with foreign readers and focuses on the readers from the UK, which differs from the Czech language and culture mentality.
