Annotation	This thesis investigates how mothers percept babysitting as an alternative care of children of preschool age. It also explores the reasons which lead parents to selection of babysitting with preschool children and the process of selection of a particular nanny. The first theoretical part defines the concept of family, parenting, role change compared to the traditional family model, women and their careers. It also defines childcare options given by law, as well as alternative childcare options, babysitting, and the concept of a nanny. In the empirical part, the thesis describes the research methodology, the results of research and their subsequent summary, which answers the research questions.
