Annotation	The topic of this diploma thesis is homeschooling. The theoretical part contains the history of homeschooling in the Czech Republic and in some other countries. The role of family in education and how family’s role has been changing along with the development of society is also mentioned. The current form of homeschooling in the Czech Republic is the topic of the next chapter. A brief overview of Czech homeschooling legislation ends the theoretical part. Ten homeschooling families were interviewed in the empirical part of the thesis. The focus was on the primary motivation for individual education. The forms of homeschooling practice in families and positive and negative consequences of homeschooling are described. The last chapter in this part is an overview of possible support for homeschooling families.
