Annotation	The dissertation investigates the relations between eleven- to fifteen-year-old schoolchildren's self-esteem and their life and school perspectives from their own point of view. The main theoretical goal of the Dissertation is to characterize the life and the school perspective of schoolchildren. The main goal of its empirical investigation is to map out possible relations between the schoolchildren's future time perspective and their self-appraisal or self-esteem. The theoretical part characterizes the period of pubescence, summarizes the basic knowledge about the self-concept and self-esteem issues. The Dissertation defines a pubescent's life perspective and describes his or her self-esteem or self-appraisal. The follow-up empirical part of the dissertation presents the "Mutual Relations between Eleven- to Fifteen-year-old Schoolchildren's Self-esteem and Their Life and School Perspectives" investigation project which is, before all, based on the theoretical concept introduced in the first part. The empirical part tries to search relations between the eleven- to fifteen-year-old schoolchildren's self-esteem level and their life and school perspectives.
