Annotation The diploma thesis describes the currently most often used, most modern one and most discussed techniques of assessment of pupils, but think over those that prevail in our schools, but nevertheless already fully complying with current trends in progressive education. It is divided into theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of school assessment and methods of use. The practical part presents the results of research that seeks to compare methods of assessing pupils in the 1st and 2nd stage of primary schools and also investigates the differences between them and what is their popularity among students and parents. It also shows whether and to which extent these methods met and which ones suit them and the child, but also on the other hand, stress and demotivate.
