Annotation The thesis is focused on comparing boys and girls in school readiness. The first part explains the theoretical concepts related to school readiness and preparedness, describes various aspects and also deals with the registration of children in primary schools, school attendance delay and reeducation programs. The second part is dedicated to the assessment of school readiness in terms of mathematical concepts and related activities. The hypothesis was: School maturity of boys is higher than girls' school readiness. It has not been shown since the boys were successful in three tasks, as well as girls can better cope with three other tasks. Demonstrated its typical brownie and thoroughness eg. In imitation of fonts and tracing the dots. However, in tasks where you need to think about spatial concepts or over correct the alignment, the girls were weaker. A two percent difference in spot loss is not regarding as relevant, therefore, the author rejects the hypothesis and finds that there are no major differences between boys and girls when assessing school readiness and preparedness.
