Annotation	The work deals with the personality of the teacher, both his character and career. It describes an ideal teacher´s attitude towards pupils and provides the basic criteria that every right teacher should have. In addition to the efficient way of passing on knowledge, the work submits the appropriate method of communication with pupils, which is intended to evoke a positive relationship between teacher and student. Likewise, as the teacher influences a student, the whole school climate influences him. A practical part is focused on quantitative survey, which should confirm or deny, whether class teachers of respondents fulfill the criteria of an ideal teacher as described in the teoretical part, or not.
