Current education and a profession of secondary school teacher

Annotation The main focus of the theoretical part is to define the educational system in the CR after 1989 and to describe stages and types of education. The next part deals whith characteristics of the profession of a teacher and comparison of this profession in the past and nowadays. The thessis also analyses a signifiacant dokument from 2002, called the Natioal programmme for development of education in the CR which is being compared to s strategic material of current education from 2014, called Strategy of an educational policy of the CR until 2020. The next part of the thesis deals with a prestige of the teaching profession and it describes the main problems which the teachers have to deal with. The main of the practical part is to find out the main causes of dissatisfaction of the teachers with their jobs. The method of the research is a questionnaire. The teaching staff of secondary schools and vocational schools will be the respondents in the South-Moravian region.
