Annotation Longitudinal research of gifted pupils focuses on the identification of gifted pupils in the environment of Czech schools, description of their characteristics, social and family background. A partial survey conducted in 2006 is focused on the characteristics of the gifted population in the area of ​​family background and social area (with an emphasis on peer relationships). In 2006, a standardization study on the psychodiagnostic tool SON-R 2.5-7, which measures the level of cognitive abilities in children from 2.5 to 7 years of age, was carried out at the IPPP CR in cooperation with selected psychologists of pedagogical and psychological counseling centers (coordinators of care for gifted people in the region). In the course of the year, 653 protocols were collected from children from all over the Czech Republic. This survey also distributed a questionnaire focusing on the thematic areas: talent and child; parents, family; gifted child and peers; "double uniqueness".
